A Happy Post

Carcosa arrived! It is every bit as gorgeous as others have said. My crappy little picture here does not do it justice. As a physical object, it is probably the most attractive RPG book I own. It manages to be both baroque and minimalist at the same time. I particularly like the bits of purple and green typography.

Oh, and a few other unremarkable items also arrived a few days ago. All these are holdovers from 2011 orders.

Actually, I am more jealous of the fact that you are opening up Traveller Book 1-8 for the first time…. I’m really curious as to what you think of those….

That is still a mindbendingly awesome set of things to come in the mail.

Yeah, I’m really looking forward to getting into the Traveller book (I’m sure it will inspire some blogging). Too few hours in the day, as always.

I’m right there with you on Carcosa. It’s definitely one of the most impressive (if not the most impressive) rpg books I own. From the cover material to the paper to the ink colors, it’s obvious a lot of thought and time went into making everything about the physical book work together to create a fantastic object!
